Rich Alexander Memorial Fund

This memorial fund is a tribute to an amazing man who touched so many people's lives. He dedicated his life to the outdoors, education, his children and grandchildren, his family, his writing and his beloved wife.

This fund will be used to host a variety of wilderness experiences at La Vie Sauvage, part of the  Frenchman's Cove Land Conservancy (FCLC).

It's our way of remembering a great man for many years to come.

ADA Fly Fishing Access

In honor of accessibility for all, we are developing ADA-compliant fly fishing access to the Feather River, which flows through the heart of the property. This initiative ensures that individuals with mobility challenges can experience the joy and peace of river fishing. It’s a meaningful way to connect people with nature regardless of physical ability.

Blue Line Events

We proudly host special “Blue Line” events dedicated to honoring and supporting police officers and first responders. These gatherings offer rest, camaraderie, and outdoor activities in a peaceful setting. It’s our way of giving back to those who serve our communities every day.

Youth Group Campground Rentals

La Vie Sauvage is available for full rental by qualified youth groups operating under their own risk and liability coverage. This provides a unique opportunity for kids to explore, learn, and grow in a safe and inspiring wilderness environment. We welcome schools, scout troops, and nonprofit youth programs to create memorable outdoor experiences.

Corporate & Religious Retreats

Our wilderness property offers a tranquil and private setting for both corporate and faith-based groups. Whether you're planning team building, leadership development, or spiritual reflection, La Vie Sauvage provides a backdrop for meaningful connection. Flexible accommodations and stunning natural surroundings make it an ideal place to reset and recharge.

It is our hope to honor Rich Alexander exactly the way he would want us to. Please consider donating - everything helps!

Project: We were inspired to take action when the devastating floods overtook communities in Brazil. We sent THREE truckloas of drinking water, 250 cans of special milk for children, gasoline for the boats rescuing people an animals, as well as, medicine.

Below are two videos highlighting the horrible floods in Brazil - we hope we made an impact, but there's more to do. Please consider donating for this and future projects.
